This is where I work.

I work at Pusat Bandar Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.

When they first built this place I thought to myself. "What an ugly piece of concrete s***!!!"

But after a while it kinda grew on me. From the dungeon carparks to the walkways in between the office blocks, its very photogenic. It isn't exactly pretty but somewhat like a well-thought-out-ex-Soviet-functionality-meets-post-modern-fluidity building. Architects out there do not crucify me I teach Economics... oh okay... yeah go ahead.

Look at those linessssss!

The latest addition to the neighbourhood is the Menara Millenium. (See below) Now there's a pretty piece of architecture! When I was small I had a coin box in the shape of a sturdy bank. This building reminds me of it. I love every aspect of it. The way the light bounces of its pyramidal wall rivets, to its curves, domes and cupola at the top. It looks particularly nice at sunrise and sunset.

This is one of my favourite scenes. Landscape gardening is rare in this neck of the woods and this is a welcome change. I never tire of taking pictures of the garden, its fountain and (broken) clock tower. Nice flowers at the far end but these are not visible in this picture.

Everyone who sees this picture says the SAME thing... "Hey this doesn't look like its in Malaysia.... is it in London? Well folks it was late in the evening on a particularly stormy day. I was stranded at work because of the awful traffic jam back to my house. If you look properly you'll see other (blurry) people stranded in their office block too.

Curveyyyyy

Someone gave the design of this place a lot of thought. Kudos!
